Home Schooling

Parents of children residing in the Saluda School District attendance zone may opt to assume the responsibility of educating their children in a home school setting. There are three options that parents can choose from to home school their children.

Option 1) Parents or guardians may teach their children at home if the instruction is approved by the district board of trustees of the district in which the children reside.

Option 2) Parents or guardians may teach their children at home if the instruction is conducted under the auspices of the South Carolina Association of Independent Home Schools.

Option 3) Parents or guardians may teach their children at home if the instruction is conducted under the auspices of a home school association which has no fewer than fifty members and meets the requirements of the South Carolina State Department of Education.
